The brief
A boutique travel agency wanted to present its routes, departure dates and booking flow in one place, and to manage tours and customers itself behind the scenes. Most off-the-shelf solutions were either too generic or didn’t carry the agency’s “every kilometre planned” story.
What I did
I built a showcase that opens with a looping video cover and continues with full-screen photos. Each tour has a day-by-day program, what is and isn’t included, extra services and departure dates; the visitor picks a date and room type and asks for the price on WhatsApp. I added an admin panel with email login: its opening screen is a board of upcoming departures, and the number of free seats is saved right there; the administrator manages users, the editor handles content.
Result
The site was launched on the agency’s own domain, martenickatravel.com. Tours and content are updated from the admin panel; the pages are open to search engines.
Technical decisions
The front end is a single-page app built with React and Vite. The back end was deliberately written in PHP so it runs on shared hosting without extra setup. Although it is a single-page app, every tour page is filled on the server with a title, description and structured data for search engines. Passwords are stored with bcrypt and repeated failed logins are locked out.
